lettera27 with "District Of You" - a project celebrating the Bay Area's rich creative history. Created in conjunction bookstores and art supply locations throughout the area, myDetour take place September 10 - October 1, 2009. All notebooks are donated to
lettera27 and are a valuable opportunity and resource for the Foundation. The archive is on permanent display online and constitutes a rich artistic, cultural and intellectual heritage.
myDetour San Francisco will feature approximately 20 Moleskine notebooks, and Moleskine users are encouraged to submit their own creations in special drop boxes to be found in seven participating bookstores and art supply stores.
As part of the San Francisco myDetour project, Moleskine is proud to partner with
826 Valencia, a non‐profit writing and tutoring center in San Francisco. Students and volunteers from 826 Valencia were asked to create Moleskine books that reflect the ways in which they relate to their space and their city.
After October 1, all submitted notebooks will be reviewed by a jury composed by
Michael Carabetta, Creative Director of Chronicle Books, Marco Beghin, President of Moleskine America, Inc., Yves Béhar, founder of
fuseproject, the design agency dedicated to the emotional experience of brands through story‐telling and designer of the
One Laptop Per Child, and Leigh Lehman, co‐founder and Executive Director of 826 Valencia.
